Inset Panel Shaker Style Cabinet Door
Below is our Sapele Shaker Style custom cabinet door.
Sapele wood is interlocked, sometimes wavy grain producing a distinctive roe figure
on quartered surfaces. Medium texture, high luster, pale yellow sapwood and light
red to dark reddish brown heartwood. Sapele is also known as scented mahogany, aboudirko,
penkwa, muyovu, libuyu, and sapele mahogany. Sapele, like most woods can be painted
but it does have a grain similar to mahogany so it is not recommended where a smooth
finish is required. Sapele can be stained although it is usually clear finished since
it has a dark reddish brown appearance.
