Inset Panel Shaker Style Cabinet Door
Below is our Hickory Shaker Style custom cabinet door. Hickory is a very hard hardwood
with tight, generally straight grain with a coarse texture. Pale to reddish brown
heartwood and whitish sapwood. Hickory is ideal for applications where strength and
elasticity are important. Commonly used for tool handles, farm implements, baseball
bats, flooring, veneers, paneling, long-wearing chair parts (legs, backs, rungs),
dowels, poles, ladders, turnery, and interior cabinets and furniture. Hickory can
be hand selected for a rustic appearance which it is commonly used for. Hickory can
be stained and finishes well, but do to its rather coarse grain patterns it is not
recommended for painting as this coarse grain will show under some painted finishes.
Of course if this is the look you desire for your painted finishes then Hickory may
be an excellent choice.
Shown here is just one style of Shaker style cabinet doors that we offer. The Shaker
style is named after the Shakers. The Shakers built very beautiful yet very simple
utilitarian furniture And this is a style has been modeled and refined from their
designs over the years. This version of this Shaker style door has a very modern
feel clean but not ornate. This style of shaker door features 2 1/4” wide stiles
and rails. Other stile and rail widths can be produced using this style of cabinet
door. Shaker style cabinet doors offer a clean yet traditional look. Shaker style
cabinet doors are very popular and work well with a variety of designs and home decor.
